To The European Schools Network

For those among our dear readers ...

... who haven`t heard about us here is some information: Schools from Öffnet einen internen Link im aktuellen FensterElblag (Poland), Sirvintos (Lithuania), Öffnet einen internen Link im aktuellen FensterBlansko (Czechia), Öffnet einen internen Link im aktuellen FensterMürzzuschlag (Austria), Busto Arsizio (Italy), Lier (Belgium), Almelo (Netherlands), Öffnet einen internen Link im aktuellen FensterUurainen (Finland), Mariestad (Sweden) and the Öffnet einen internen Link im aktuellen FensterGerman “Europaschule” from Barßel have been working together in different European projects for about ten years now.

It started ...

... with a meeting of teachers from Elblag, Lier, Uurainen and Barßel in the “Europahaus Aurich”. There we decided to start our first Comenius project “Europe – unity and variety”. Three years later – after finishing our first programme – we went on with “Welcome to Europe”, a project that focussed the approach of eastern European countries towards EU. Meanwhile we founded the above mentioned “European Schools Network” because not all partners were allowed to take part in Comenius.

Now ...

... seven schools are working on the programme “Do we need a new European school? Europe after PISA and the enlargement of the EU.” In the beginning of each school year all partner schools organize a coordination meeting. There we plan our activities and evaluate our work.

At the moment ...

... we are working on the development of scool and some subjects like “Science”, “Languages” and “Politics / History”. On project meetings we compare our different points of views and exchange our ideas. Results and news of our schools are published in our "European Newspaper". Each December we print a "Calendar" with art works of our students. We support visits and exchanges of teachers and students. On different sites, dear reader, you are able to get information about our projects. Last but not least all our partner schools have the possibility to add information.

GOOD LUCK ON THE WAY TO A TRUE DEMOCRATIC EUROPE!
